3-18 Metres, Boat Dive, All Levels, Great Night Dive for the experienced This site offers regular Grey Nurse shark sightings. The long gutters with coarse gravel floors provide an ideal location for the sharks. Even if no sharks are sighted a number of tight gullies & swim throughs make this a must do dive. "Wow, did you see the big one, she came straight up to me" - Justin, Master Diver, March'96 |

3-18 Metres, Boat Dive, All Levels As the name suggests, all divers get a blast from this dive. At 4m depth a long swim-through catches most divers by surprise as they get sucked up and along the tunnel, to be spat out at the other end. More exploration will find a number of small caves and other swim throughs. |

10-18 Metres, Boat Dive, All Levels, Great Night Dive for the experience A great split in the rock formation here makes for a very interesting dive site. The canyon walls are only 3 metres apart and rise up to the surface from 15m. There is a great variety of marine life on the walls including sponges, nudibranchs, slipper crays and anemones, and we often encounter large schools of yellow tail. |

7-25 Metres, Boat Dive, All Levels, Great Night Dive for the experienced A few hundred metres south of the Tollgates a rock rises from the sea floor at 25m with sheer walls up to 7m on the seaward side. This formation attracts huge numbers of palagic and reef fish. Weedy Sea Dragons can be found in the kelp beds on the bottom. Bronze Whaler sharks have been seen at this site, and a Humpback Whale swam through the middle of our dive group recently. Top site but smooth conditions are required to get the best dive. "The water went still and a shadow appeared
above us, it was a huge humpback." |

7-20 Metres, Boat Dive, All Levels, Fantastic Night Dive for the experienced Two great fingers of rock join in a "V". At this point a tunnel has been formed: it is approximately 4m high, 3m wide and 30m long. It is normally filled with bullseyes and other cave dwelling fish, with the entrance often being guarded by a blue devil fish. Grasslands 5-12 Metres, Boat Dive, Open Water Divers, Top Introductory Night Dive Even with the worst southerly blowing this site is calm. Tucked on the inside of the Tollgates is a wide meadow of sea grasses and shallow rock walls. Ideal last dive of the day or just to get back into the water with safety and comfort. |
