Moruya Drop Offs |
These dive sites were first dived in October'95. They start 2km off Moru8ya Heads, and cater for more experienced divers. Boat leaves from Mossy Point boat ramp for all these dives. We have only explored a small area of these reefs, but from what we have seen there is going to be plenty of great dive sites out here. |

Marbles
To 35-45 metres plus, Boat Dive, Deep Diver Qualification The top of the reef lies at 35 metres depth and a huge variety of creatures live here including schools of Trevally and Tailor. Large round boulders (marbles) form small caves which are inhabited by Port Jackson and Wobbygong Sharks. On the edge of the drop-off are gard4ens of sea whips and sponges. The drop-off goes down to a flat sandy bottom at 50m. "Fantastic ! Let's get some air &
do it again." |

Welcome Reef
26-33 Metres, Boat Dive, Advanced Open Water Qualification A very recent discovery! This is a very special dive site featuring a broken reef with large boulders covered in sea whips, sponges and fans. Many varieties of fish circle around the divers here, and 2 or 3 different varieties of basket stars also inhabit the area. Commonly seen fish include Southern Bore Fish, Sea Pike, Trevally, Old Wives, Blue Grouper, Morwong etc... |

Broulee Island
10-20 Metres, Boat Dive, All Levels, U/W Photographers Dream This has been a local favourite for many years. The reef is an extension of the very popular shore dive on the Broulee rock platform. The caves that are dived from the shore at this lo0cation are rumoured to continue out into 20 metres of water (we are still looking). We see many large schools of fish in Summer including Kingfish which often swim around divers. |

Burrawurra Point
10-30 Metres, All Levels There are a number of dives along this headland, where the reef drops very quickly to a flat rocky bottom at 30 metres. Many species of Pelagic fish cruise the length of the reef, and an abundance of sea stars, sponges and fan corals cover the walls and sea floor. "Warm, flat, clear water, lots to see, I loved it."
